Independence Grove Libertyville, Illinois
Independence Grove is the Lake County Forest Preserve's 1,100 acre reclaimed gravel pit opened in 2001. Our contributions include the design for the maintenance facility, shoreline terrace and selected interior design services. Services within the one-half million dollars, 4,000 S.F. Maintenance Facility include the Ranger's Office, five equipment bays, maintenance employee's locker rooms and material storage. "To appear to be floating on water" was the aesthetic directive for the highly detailed Shoreline Terrace which was built at a cost of $50/S.F. from steel, cedar and teak. Our work has also included area lighting, fencing and utilities. Substantial completion of these projects occurred within four months.
